Macho Ennacho Song Lyrics: The 2017 film Mersal is an action thriller that was written and co-authored by Atlee, V. Vijayendra Prasad, and S. Vijayendra Prasad. Ramana Girivasan. The film, which marks the 100th production for Thenandal Studio Limited, stars not only Vijay but also Samantha Ruth Prabhu, S. J. Surya, Sathyaraj, Vadivelu, Kovai Sarala, Hareesh Peradi, Kajal Aggarwal, and Nithya Menen, amongst others. The story revolves around two brothers: one is a magician who wants vengeance for the deaths of his parents, which he believes were caused by medical negligence, and the other is a respected physician who overcharges his patients for the care they get. The primary filming of the movie started on February 1 in Chennai and continued for a total of 130 shooting days till it was completed in September. Filming took place at both Gdask, which is located in Poland, and Jaisalmer, which is located in Rajasthan.

A. R. Rahman collaborated with Vijay in the production of the films Udhaya (2004) and Azhagiya Tamizh Magan (2007), and he worked with Atlee for the first time on the production of the soundtrack album and background music for Mersal. The lyrics for the film were written by Vivek, who also worked with Rahman for the first time on this project. During the year of the silver jubilee, this was the first release by Vijay and Rahman. The audio rights to the film were purchased by Sony Music India for a price that broke all previous records. Single versions of the songs "Aalaporaan Thamizhan" and "Neethanae" were released ten and seventeen days apart in August of 2017. After just ten days, the album has surpassed the previous record for most streams for a Tamil album, which stood at 100 million. The television broadcast rights were acquired by Zee Tamil in July 2017 for a price of 30
crores.
On October 18, 2017, Mersal was released internationally. Critics complimented Vijay's performance, A. R. Rahman's music, the cinematography, the social message, and Atlee's direction, but panned the film's predictable storyline and length. It's won awards. The movie grossed 260 crores (US$34 million) and was a financial success. The film's 100-day run ended on January 25, 2018. China's HGC Entertainment released the film on December 6. Due to its popularity, the film was exhibited in France's largest cinema, Grand Rex. The film was screened in South Korea and China.
