The story of two-valued friends who, for reasons including one another's inner selves and jealousy, turn against one other is told in Foe. Chozhan (Vishal) and Rajiv (Arya), while they were in their early youths, were prepped by Rajiv's dad, an ex-CBI officer (Prakash Raj), to make them join the Police. Chozhan's character was played by Vishal, and Rajiv's character was played by Arya. Chozan and Rajiv are both provided with identical preparation by Rajiv's father. Rajiv's feelings of hatred and jealousy are fueled by the fact that Chozan seems to be the more successful of the two.
Chozhan eventually becomes a departmental storekeeper in Singapore, and during this period he also develops a romantic interest in Akshaya. This takes place several years after the events of the story. Chozan is motivated to address the many problems that surround him as a result of an unexpected explosion at a gas organization that resulted in the deaths of 11 Tamilians and significant injuries to many more.
